VIP Preview of New Simulcast Building at Lone Star Park
National sports personality Randy Galloway and his wife Janeen joined with Lone Star Park and Global Gaming Solutions on Thursday to host 400 VIPs for a special preview of the newly renovated “Bar & Book” simulcast building.
The multi-million dollar renovation is designed to enhance the visual experience of patrons of the 36,000-square-foot Las Vegas-style simulcast Racebook, sports bar and casual dining restaurant at Lone Star Park.
The invitation-only preview featured celebrity entertainment by ADA’s longtime supporter and country singer Sonny Burgess, a sampling of the new Bar & Book menu, hosted beer and wine offerings as well as signature drinks in the newly renovated VIP suites.
To mark the longtime collaboration between Lone Star Park and the American Diabetes Association’s “Stars of Texas… Racing Against the Odds,” Global Gaming Solutions presented a $20,000 check to the ADA.
“Supporting the American Diabetes Association is especially important to Global Gaming Solutions as we are an entity of the Chickasaw Nation. Many of our tribal members suffer from this disease and we commit many resources to supporting a cure,” said John Elliott, CEO of Global Gaming Solutions, LLC. “The American Diabetes Association is a staunch ally of American Indian programs in the fight to control and eventually prevent type 2 diabetes.”
Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby said that support of the ADA is essential to the fight against diabetes. “Every day, the work of the American Diabetes Association and other similar organizations brings us closer to winning the battle against diabetes,” said Gov. Anoatubby. “With continued research and the commitment of dedicated health professionals, we will find the means to not only combat the disease, but prevent it.”
Each Spring for the past 15 years, Lone Star Park has collaborated with “Stars of Texas…Racing Against the Odds” and the ADA raising more than $3.5 million for the fight to stop diabetes and its deadly consequences. The annual sold-out, celebrity-filled, 1,000 guest event is honored to have Randy and Janeen Galloway as Honorary Chairs over the years, as well as great support from executive committee members Cathy and Bob Zollars, Mary Blake and Chuck Meadows, and Melanie and Jamie Adams.
