Cedar Hill Man is City’s First Traffic Fatality of the Year

In Grand Prairie’s first traffic fatality of the year, Anthony Knuppel, 31 of Cedar Hill, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding struck the guardrail in the 8000 block of Lake Ridge Parkway at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening.

According to police, the impact caused Knuppel, who was wearing a helmet, to be thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported by ambulance to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center where he died from injuries suffered in the crash.

Police said the collision remains under investigation.
