Weather Service Takes Snow out of Forecast

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth said today that due to warmer temperatures and a delay in the arrival of freezing temperatures, the chance of snow has been taken out of the forecast for Grand Prairie on Monday.

The best chance for a winter mix is predicted to be in an area along and northwest of a line from Eastland to Gainesville for late Sunday night and Monday morning.

With the warm surface temperatures, Grand Prairie can expect a cold rain Sunday night and Monday but little chance of freezing precipitation.

The NWS advised that persons in North Texas should still closely monitor weather conditions for a possible transition to freezing rain.
