Grand Prairie Firefighters had to come from behind Thursday night at Grand Prairie High School’s Turner Gymnasium to beat the Grand Prairie Police Department 30-29 in the final seconds of a benefit basketball game for the Santa Spot charity.

Chad Watson, a firefighter assigned to Station 8, sank a free throw with seven seconds left in the game to give the Fire Department the win.

Spectators brought canned goods for the firefighter’s Santa Spot charity to help less fortunate families with food during the Christmas season.
