Chance of Snow on Christmas Eve

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said Grand Prairie could see a mix of rain and snow during the day on Saturday that could linger into Christmas morning as a strong low pressure system moves into the area from the southwest.

Light accumulations of snow are expected in the area west of Fort Worth on Christmas Eve with no accumulations anticipated in Grand Prairie.

However, the system has a potential to cause some travel impacts across the state, the Weather Service said. Persons in North Texas, especially those planning to travel, should monitor the forecast for the latest updates.
