Season’s First Freeze Possible Friday Morning

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth today issued a Freeze Warning from 1:00 -9:00 a.m. Friday for the area generally west of Interstate 35 and north of Interstate 20.

A dry and cold air mass is now in place from yesterday’s cold front. This coupled with light winds and a clear sky will result in sub-freezing temperatures.

Some locations across the far western portions of North Texas may see a hard freeze with lows in the middle and upper 20s.

Tonight’s sub-freezing temperatures will kill most sensitive vegetation if left unprotected
