A cold front and an upper level storm system that will move into Grand Prairie during the day on Sunday, could bring with it severe weather Sunday afternoon and night, and again on Monday afternoon and night.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth said the storms both Sunday and Monday could produce large hail and damaging winds, isolated tornadoes are not out of the question Sunday. The Weather Service added that the tornado potential may be even higher on Monday.
Some areas, especially north of Interstate 20, may experience sufficient rainfall to cause runoff and localized flooding through Monday.
The NWS said persons in North Texas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and watch for later statements and possible watches/warnings.
