Grand Prairie City Services Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the city of Grand Prairie administrative offices will be closed Thursday, November 24-Friday, November 25.
Other city services affected are:
- Main Library – Closed Nov. 24-25. Open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27. Items can be renewed online at library.gptx.org or by calling 972-237-5700 during library hours.
- Betty Warmack Branch Library – Closed Nov. 24-25. Open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27. Items can be renewed online at library.gptx.org or by calling 972-237-5700 during library hours. .
- Bowles Branch Library – Closed Nov. 24-25 and Nov. 27. Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26. Items can be renewed online at library.gptx.org or by calling 972-237-5700 during library hours.
- Water bill payment offices – closed
- The Summit 50+ Adult Activity Center – Closed Nov. 24-25. Open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27. .
- Charley Taylor and Dalworth Recreation Centers – Open noon-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, closed Nov. 24 and 27. Open noon-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25 and 9 a.m.-1 pm. on Saturday, Nov. 26. .
- Bowles Life Center – Open 5 a.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, closed Nov. 24 and 27. Open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, open 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
- Prairie Lakes Golf Course – open sunup to sundown.
- Tangle Ridge Golf Club – open sunup to sundown.
- Kirby Creek Indoor Pool – Open Monday, Nov. 21-Wednesday, Nov. 23 10 a.m. lap swim, 1-6 p.m. open swim. Closed Nov. 24-25 and Nov. 27. Open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for lap swim, 1-6 p.m. for open swim on Saturday, Nov. 26.
- Garbage Collection/Recycling – No collection on Nov. 24. Please put garbage and recycling out on next collection day. There is no make-up day. .
- Landfill – closed Nov. 24.
- Animal Shelter – closed Nov. 24-25 and Nov. 27. Open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 (closed noon-1 p.m. for lunch) .
- Tourist Information Center – Closed Thursday, Nov. 24. Open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25-Sunday, Nov. 27.
