The Woods UMC Opens Pumpkin Patch with 3,000 Pumpkins
The Woods United Methodist Church, 1350 W. Bardin, opened its sixth annual Pumpkin Patch Saturday when more than seventy church members unloaded about three thousand pumpkins along with various shaped and sized gourds.
Cary Dover, Director of Church Operations for The Woods, said the pumpkins go on sale immediately after unloading and the patch will be open seven days a week through October 31 or until all the pumpkins are sold. All proceeds from the sales help support the church’s ministries and community activities such as the Grand Prairie Co-op. Purchases are tax deductible.
The church has couple of events planned this month in the Pumpkin Patch. On October 8 is a Craft and Health Fair and on October 29 is Party in the Patch that features games, prizes and food.
Hours of operation:
Monday through Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday - 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
