Animal Shelter Offers Free Pet Vaccinations
Grand Prairie residents are invited to bring dogs, cats and ferrets for free rabies and 5-in-1 vaccinations at the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter, 2222 W. Warrior Trail, on October 29, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. There is a limit of 5 pets per household.
Rabies and 5-in-1 will be limited to the first 1,000 dogs, cats and ferrets and Bordatella will be available for the first 800 dogs only.
All dogs must be on a leash and cats and ferrets in a secure carrier.
Certificate of prior rabies vaccination is necessary to obtain a 3-year certification. Pets without proof of a prior rabies vaccination will be certified for one year only.
Children will need to be supervised by an adult at all times.
Aggressive animals will not be permitted
