Two Men Missing at Lake Joe Pool
Grand Prairie police are investigating the disappearance of two men, Tommy Tran, 22, of Carrollton and Choung Tran, 27, of Grand Prairie, who were swimming at Lake Joe Pool on September 5.
According to Sergeant Chris Chopin, Lake Patrol, officers responded to the area of Estes Point south of Lynn Creek Park at approximately 4:35pm on Sunday. Witnesses told officers that Tommy Tran was swimming near a boat when he began to have difficulty. Choung Tran jumped in from the boat to help. Both men were seen going beneath the water and did not come up.
Lake Officers, members of the Grand Prairie Fire Department and Game Wardens searched the area but were unable to locate the missing men.
The search will resume on Tuesday, Sergeant Chopin said.
