State Representative Rodney Anderson Seeks State Senate Seat

Republican Rodney Anderson of Grand Prairie, who was elected in 2010 to the Texas House of Representatives, District 106, announced Thursday that he will seek the Texas Senate District 9 seat held by incumbent Chris Harris of Arlington.

In a press release Anderson said, “Texas is at a critical point in history and we have a choice to make, we can go down the same road that gets us the same results with a career politician, or we can take the path less traveled and actually make a meaningful impact on our state by electing a Senator who understands that he works for us, the people of Texas.”

The state’s new redistricting plan put Anderson up against veteran State Representative Linda Harper-Brown for the District 105 seat in the 2012 Republican primary that is set for March 6.
