End of Summer Bash Features Little River Band, Cory Morrow, Fireworks and More
On Saturday, September 17, gates open at 5 p.m. and the fun starts at 6 p.m. with the popular local band Double Ace and an Art Show, followed by the 8 p.m. Little River Band concert, capped off with fireworks.
The Little River Band, formed in Australia in 1975. Originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in other Australian bands, their focus was to get airplay on American radio. With good songwriting, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies, they immediately claimed their place as one of the great bands of the 1970s and the 1980s. Worldwide sales now top 30 million. Their current lineup brings new energy and arrangements to the classic hits. The show's vitality and the volume of hits sweep up audiences nationwide.
Continuing the Bash at 6 p.m. Sunday, September 18, the Bird Dogs and the Tejas Brothers open for country-star Cory Morrow. After years of surviving the rough and tumble music business, the now elder statesman of Texas music, Morrow is making some of the best music of his storied career with his latest album "Brand New Me" showcasing an artist in complete control. Music started Morrow's journey and music has reinvigorated him. Behind these new songs and surrounded by a band of touring musicians among the best to be found anywhere, Morrow shows no signs of giving up his throne as one of the best Texas has to offer. Fireworks end the night. Parking is $5. General admission is free with a pre-provided ticket, which are available at these locations in Grand Prairie:
