Eastbound Interstate 20 to Close Nightly Through October 1
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and diverted off the main lanes at the SH 161 exit ramp. Traffic will remain in one lane through the SH 161 intersection and return to the main lanes on the entrance ramp to IH 20. The signals at SH 161 will be adjusted to remain green throughout the closure to allow main lane traffic to flow freely.
The Eastbound Frontage Road of IH 20 will be closed at Matthew to allow the main lane traffic to flow freely at the freeway closure beginning September 27 through October 1 from 7 p.m. till 6 a.m. nightly. Traffic will be detoured south on Matthew to Bardin then west to Great Southwest Pkwy and back north to IH 20.
Prior to the freeway closure, the left two lanes will be closed on IH 20 main lanes to prep crane pads and stage girders from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. September 27 through October 1.
All lanes Southbound SH 161 will be closed between Mayfield and IH 20 for steel erection operations on IH 20 beginning September 27 through October 1 between 7 p.m. till 6 a.m. nightly. Traffic will be detoured West to Great Southwest Pkwy and south to IH 20.
