Doo-Wop Group Plays to Sellout Uptown Crowd
Friday night’s performance by The Stars from The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters and Temptations Salute was the first sellout of the season for the Uptown.
Despite a power outage in the downtown area that kept the crowd in the dark for more than an hour and a half, almost everyone waited out the delay to hear lead singer Myles Savage deliver his smooth rendition of the harmony rich classic hit songs of the popular groups of the 50s and 60s.
