Members of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Branding Irons hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday at Beazer Homes’ latest development in Mira Lagos.

The development has 54 lots available and features homes sized 2054 to 4511 square feet, priced at $199,990 to $270,990.

Beazer Homes USA, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, is one of the top ten homebuilders in the United States with operations in 16 states across the country building high performance homes, called eSMART.

The homes are engineered for energy-efficiency, cost-savings and comfort. eSMART features come standard in every home and provide energy savings, water conservation and improved indoor air quality, which translates into a lower ongoing cost of ownership and greater comfort throughout the house.

Each home in the Mira Lagos development is an Energy Star® home.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said on its website that in order to earn the Energy Star®, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the EPA. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
