Police Begin DWI Crackdown
The Grand Prairie Police Department announced that beginning today through Labor Day there will be additional officers on the streets looking for drunk drivers.
Sergeant Eric Hansen, Traffic Division, said as many as eight additional officers, funded by a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot) grant, could be out on any given nigh fromt now through September 5.
So far this year Grand Prairie Police have made 319 DWI arrests.
