Heat Continues, Elevated Fire Danger

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said hot conditions will continue across North Texas today.
The combination of triple digit temperatures, afternoon relative humidity’s below 30 percent, southerly winds of 5 to 15 MPH and the ongoing drought will result in elevated to high fire weather conditions across the entire region.
Afternoon heat index values will reach or exceed 105 degrees across all but the western sections of North Texas today and Saturday. Therefore, a heat advisory is in effect through Saturday evening.
