Firefighters Battle Heat and Dense Woods to Contain Grass Fire
It took Grand Prairie firefighters a few hours to put out a grass fire Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Timber Oaks Lane and Prairie Hill Lane.
Firefighters were hampered by the high heat and dense woods fighting the fire that approached the Colonnade Apartments.
Two aerial trucks were used to put out the fire in the wooded area.
