The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said a weak upper level disturbance and old storm outflow boundary over southwest Oklahoma will drift southeast toward North Texas bringing a slight chance of rain today.
With atmospheric moisture on the increase today, isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible across all of North Texas through this evening.
Stronger thunderstorms could produce gusty winds across western North Texas later today.
Highs temperatures will still be very hot, but morning cloud cover may keep highs slightly cooler today.
