More High Temperatures Expected This Week

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said Grand Prairie can expect continued hot weather through midweek as a strong upper high remains anchored across the southern plains.

This pattern will keep North Texas very hot with high temperatures ranging from 99 to 108 degrees and heat index values exceeding 105 degrees again across many areas where a Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 pm Wednesday evening.

Moisture will swirl around the upper high with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible across parts of North Texas through sunset. Gusty winds will be possible in and near any thunderstorms.
