Chamber Of Commerce Places First in Three State Wide Competitions

The Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce placed first in three state wide media competition at the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executive (TCCE) Conference, June 25-28, 2011 held in Las Colinas, Texas. The first place awards are for the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce’s directory, website and map which are branded to complement each other.

The annual chamber directory is a 92 page, full color, community guide and business directory which is produced completely in house by the chamber staff. 6000 copies are printed by J M H Printing Co, a sustaining member of the chamber. The directory contains information about the city, chamber, historical facts, recreation, tourism, education and much more. This quality community publication is distributed to new comers who are visiting or relocating to Grand Prairie. We also distribute through job fairs, health fairs and community expos, as well as businesses such as financial institutions, apartment complexes, hotels and realtors.

The chamber website was designed and is updated annually by the chamber staff and Beyond Web Solutions, a sustaining member of the chamber. The website contains information about the chamber, city, events a community calendar, business directory, job postings just to name a few. The business/ member directory, photo gallery and calendar of events are updated in real time so we can always have the latest information in front of the community.

The chamber’s map is a full color map of Grand Prairie, on high grade, glossy print material. The map includes information about the City of Grand Prairie, street names as well as points of interest such as local attractions, public facilities, schools and more as well as a business index. The map was produced with chamber staff input and provided to Community Matters Inc. and is produced approximately every eighteen months.

TCCE is an organization made of 293 chamber executives from across the state of Texas who work together to improve the business climate in Texas. TCCE provides leadership for chamber employees through publications, resources and networking opportunities.

The Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce is a member owned non-profit (501c6) organization of businessmen and women who are investing their resources in community development programs – working together to “promote strengthen and expand the business community” of Grand Prairie.
