New Police Chief Hired
The Grand Prairie City Council Tuesday night approved the City Manager’s hiring of Steve Dye as the city’s Chief of Police.
Dye was the lone finalist out of more than 100 applicants for the position that opened up in January with the retirement of Chief Glen Hill.
Dye, who was the Chief of Police of Colleyville, Texas, will take over the Grand Prairie Police Department on July 4.
