Free Homebuyers Fair and How to Avoid Foreclosure Workshop

In celebration of June as National Homeownership Month, the City of Grand Prairie is sponsoring a family-friendly, information-packed Homebuyers Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Ruthe Jackson Center, 3113 S. Carrier Parkway. The Homebuyers Fair is free to the public. Anyone who wants to learn more about becoming a super-successful homeowner is encouraged to attend.

The event will include a special presentation on foreclosure prevention, where homeowners can learn more about what to do when times get tough. Homeowners in crisis will have the opportunity to meet individually with mortgage loan servicers and HUD-certified housing counselors to get started on the road to recovery right on site, that very day.

Exhibitors will include local realtors, mortgage and loan officers, housing and credit counselors, home inspectors, appraisers and title companies. Contact the City of Grand Prairie’s Housing Department at 972-237-8173 for more information.
