Uptown Theater Launches July Movie Madness

By popular demand, Grand Prairie’s historic Uptown Theater, 120 E. Main St., will be playing popular classics during its July Movie Madness series.

In July, movies will play at 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursday, and at 7 p.m. Thursday nights.

Scheduled are:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone - July 5 at 2 p.m.
Secret Garden - July 7 at 2 p.m.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s - July 7 at 7 p.m.
Charlotte’s Web - July 12 at 2 p.m.
Princess Bride - July 14 at 2 p.m.
High Society - July 14 at 7 p.m.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - July 18 at 2 p.m.
The Sandlot - July 21 at 2 p.m.
Some Like It Hot - July 21 at 7 p.m.
“The matinees are great opportunities for parents to share the movies they loved growing up with their kids and experience them together,” said Theater Manager Elspeth McDonald.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for kids ages 2 - 15 available at www.uptowntheatergp.com, 972-237-UPTN or at the box office the day of the movie. A Family Movie Season Pass is available for $25 per family (for up to a family of five) for all nine movies.
