McDonald’s Nationwide Hiring Day
McDonalds across the country held a hiring day Tuesday to get more than 50,000 applicants for jobs at local restaurants. Persons interested in applying can go to any McDonalds or complete an application online.
Members of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Branding Irons got the opportunity Tuesday to visit the McDonalds located at 3031 W. Camp Wisdom Rd. to see firsthand the restaurant’s operations and hiring process. The restaurant expects to get more than two hundred applications Tuesday for its 5-12 openings.
Robyn Curry, Area Supervisor who oversees the daily operations of three restaurants, pointed out that McDonalds not only employees people within the community, it uses local business for supplies and services, and helps with community-wide charities.
“Working at McDonalds provides a lot of opportunity,” Curry said. She started nine years ago with McDonalds as a cook and progressed to her current management position.
