Concert in the Park brings Western Swing to The Summit
The group Shoot Low Sheriff, an authentic Western Swing band, played Friday night at the Grand Prairie Arts Council’s April Concert in the Park at The Summit.
The group, inspired by classic Western Swing bands, combined strings, horns, and piano to recapture the sounds that swept Southern dancehalls in the thirties and forties.
