Ballot set for May 14 City Council elections

Monday was the last day for candidates to file for a place on the May 14 ballot for the Grand Prairie City Council elections.

This spring’s elections will feature 2 contested races:

  • District 3 incumbent Bill Thorn faces Billy Ray Nash
  • Place 7 at large incumbent Ruthe Jackson faces R. J. DiLena
Incumbent Mark Hepworth is unopposed for the District 1 spot.

Early voting begins May 2.
