Randy Rogers Band and Ted Nugent kicks off Lone Star Park’s opening weekend

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie’s third consecutive Lone Star Music Series will return April 15 and 16 with the Randy Rogers Band and Ted Nugent kicking off Opening Weekend at Lone Star Park.

The stage for each concert will be situated outdoors, just outside the racing surface, in front of the sun-shaded Courtyard of Champions. The lawn area is first come, first served, and there is limited patio table seating in the Courtyard. Blankets and folding chairs are permitted outdoors.

The concerts will be free with the regular $5 general admission price before 9 p.m. on Friday nights and 5 p.m. on Saturday nights. Admission will increase to $15 after 9 p.m. on Friday nights and 5 p.m. on Saturday nights.

Special VIP concert packages for Randy Rogers Band on April 15, Ted Nugent on April 16 and Dwight Yoakam on July 9 will be available on line only beginning March 14 at LoneStarPark.com.

The lineup for the 2011 Lone Star Music Series is the Randy Rogers Band (April 15), Ted Nugent (April 16), Casey Donahew Band (May 6), Eli Young Band (June 10), Stoney LaRue (June 24), Reckless Kelly and Josh Abbott (July 8) and Dwight Yoakam (July 9).
