Local artists showcased at African-American heritage celebration

The Grand Prairie Arts Council and the Betty Warmack Branch Library presented the 7th Annual African-American Heritage Celebration Saturday.

The afternoon of entertainment featured performances by local artists:

  • Geneva Bradford – Poetic Interpretations
  • Elizabeth Gaitán – God Bless the USA! A Celebration in Song
  • Marlowe D’elene – Musakalala the Talking Skeleton
  • Xzavier Young – Songs of Strength and Struggle
  • Noel Smart – Poetic Reflections
