Grand Prairie Farmers Market recruits volunteers

Grand Prairie’s Farmers Market, 120 W. Main St., is seeking volunteers, called Farmers Friends, to help work at the market Saturdays March – December between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help work at the Farmers Market booth, handing out material, answering customer questions, promoting other city events and programs and selling city items.

Farmers Friends should be able to work at least a 2.5-hour shift from 8 -10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., preferably on a regular basis. Those interested are asked to download, complete and return the volunteer application found online at www.gptx.org/farmersmarket and click on Farmers Friends or call Cathy at 972-263-9588 for an application.

Benefits include a fabulous Farmers Market T-shirt, meeting and greeting great Grand Prairie citizens and fun out-of-towners, and helping your community create a vital downtown.
