Elderly man injured in house fire

Grand Prairie firefighters rescued an elderly man Sunday morning after fire broke out in his home in the 2100 block of Cottonwood.

The fire, that started around 11:30 a.m., caused extensive damage to the home.

The victim’s name and condition were unavailable at publishing time.
