Grand Prairie police tactical officers ended a standoff Thursday morning at an apartment in the 1200 block of East Marshall where it was reported hostages were being held.
The incident began at 3:45 a.m. when a man told police the occupants inside the apartment were playing a game of “Russian Roulette.” He added that he was told to get $200 or someone would be shot.
Responding officers could not get an answer at the door and called for a police tactical team.
At about 7:45 a.m., officers got all of the occupants out of the apartment and one suspect was taken into custody.
Police determined that no one inside the apartment was held against their will.
Detective John Brimmer, police spokesman, said the reporting victim has not been located. He said witnesses at the scene told officers the victim has active arrest warrants and did not want to talk with police.
The investigation into the incident continues, Detective Brimmer said. Adding that since no one has been charged with a crime, names will not be released until the investigation is completed.
