Gift Needs:
Girls ages 12-16 years old: hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons, make-up, jewelry, etc.Please Note: Do not need any stuffed animals at this time.
Boys ages 12-16 years old: wallets, hand-held games, MP3 and CD players, etc.
To arrange pickup for larger items, call Officer Calvert at 972-237-8814.
To make a cash donation or to volunteer to help pack boxes, please contact Officer Mark Calvert at 972-237-8814. We will start working nightly 6-9 p.m. Monday through Thursdays starting Nov. 29, 2010.
All donations are tax deductible as Santa Cop is a IRS registered charitable organization.
Families in need of assistance must be nominated by Police, Fire or City employees or School District school counselors who have knowledge of the family needs. Calling to get on the list is not a guarantee that they will receive gifts, as all nominees are screened through the Salvation Army's clearinghouse database.
If you know of a family that needs Santa Cop's help, please notify any police officer, firefighter or City of Grand Prairie employee who can nominate applicants. We are limited to the number of families that we can assist but limited only due to the amount of donations received.
