Update on crash that killed Arlington teen

Grand Prairie police concluded its investigation into the accident on October 15 on State Highway 360 that killed Kelsee Williams, 13, of Arlington.

Sergeant Eric Hansen, Traffic Division, said investigators determined that a 15 year-old female passenger seated next to Williams in the back seat of the vehicle, may have bumped the driver or the steering wheel as she reached to change the radio station causing the driver to lose control.

Williams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over.

The 16 year-old driver has been charged with:

Violate drivers license restriction G (Driving at night)
Failure to maintain proper control
Allow child ride without a seat belt

In addition, a single charge of passenger not wearing a seat belt was filed on the 15 year-old back seat passenger.
