Two AirHogs named to 2010 All Independent Team

Baseball America announced today that two Grand Prairie AirHogs, Infielder David Espinosa and Outfielder Greg Porter, were named to its 2010 All Independent Team. Espinosa was named to the First Team and Porter to the Second Team.

Espinosa, in his third season for the AirHogs, played in 95 games in 2010, hit .351 with nine home runs, and had 59 RBIs. He also led the team with 86 runs scored and was second with 127 hits. He was named to the South roster for the 2010 All Star Game and the 2010 Post Season All Star Team for the American Association of Professional Baseball.

Porter, the 2009 American Association Player of the Year, played in 93 games for the AirHogs. He led the team in batting average (.379), home runs (20), and RBIs (87). He was also named to the South roster for the 2010 All Star Game and a member of the 2010 Post Season All Star Team for the American Association of Professional Baseball.
