Fall Indie Fest begins Friday

Setup for Fall Indie Fest begins at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning when Main Street between SE 3rd and Center is closed so crews can begin erecting stages and attractions for the three day music and film entertainment extravaganza that begins that evening. Main Street will remain closed until the festival’s conclusion on Sunday.

The festival, a celebration of Texas film makers and musicians, will screen more than 40 feature length, short films, trailers, and music videos, with more than 30 musicians and bands from across Texas performing on three stages.

Headlining the festival are musical artists Sarah Jaffe, Mount Righteous, Telegraph Canyon, Darden Smith, Smile Smile, Petty Theft, Charlie Robison, Reverend Horton Heat, Veronica y Avance and The King Bucks.

"We've received tremendous support from the community for our utilization of Grand Prairie’s downtown and can't wait to present this rich, diverse programming to audiences," said Uptown Theater Managing Director Elspeth McDonald. "We've created a series of highly entertaining, memorable experiences for our participants and audiences."

Daily general admission tickets, three-day passes and VIP passes are on sale now at www.fallindiefest.com or at the Uptown Theater Box Office located, 120 East Main St, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets and event information can be found by calling 972-237-8111 or visiting www.FallIndieFest.com.
