Chamber welcomes Patty Shack Burgers

At Friday’s ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Branding Irons for new chamber members, Kyle Bryson, an owner of Patty Shack Burgers, 510 E. Avenue K, described it as “the Marble Slab® of burgers.”

Bryson said Patty Shack Burgers is fashioned after an old-time burger shack with signs and hubcaps on the walls, but with one big difference, a signature dish. He said the “Build your own dang burger” is a one-third or one-half pound burger with up to 3 toppings mixed into the patty instead of on top and then grilled on a “well-seasoned” flat top grill.

To keep with the old-fashioned theme, Patty Shack has a traditional drink fountain and has only canned beer that is iced in a bathtub. It carries a generic beer that sells for one-dollar all day, every day except after 6:00 p.m. on Monday’s then it drops to just fifty-cents.

To make eating out more affordable, Patty Shack Burger features one-dollar “simple burgers” from 6:00 p.m. to close everyday and fifty-cent “wings” after 6:00 p.m. on Mondays.

On Saturday, Patty Shack Burgers is holding its grand opening from 11:00 a.m. to close featuring:

  • Live band
  • Outdoor grilling
  • Prizes
  • Games for kids
  • Beer tubs
  • Classic car drive-in
