Fort Worth teen drowns at Joe Pool Lake
Grand Prairie Fire Department divers recovered the body of Darrion Powell, 15, of Fort Worth, Saturday night at the Lynn Creek Park swim beach at Joe Pool Lake.
Police and fire were called to the park at 8:26 p.m. after witnesses reported seeing the youth go under the water while swimming back to shore.
Powell was pulled from the water around 9:10 p.m. and rushed to Medical Center of Arlington where he was pronounced dead.
