Art Explosion at the Uptown - July 26-30

The Grand Prairie Arts Council’s Art Explosion begins July 26 at the Uptown Theater. The week long art workshop for students who have completed the first grade through age fifteen, is taught by GPISD Art Teacher Kelly Giessner.

Projects include:

Ceramics painting
Screen printing
3-D Plaster self-portraits
Bowls and sculptures created from paper-mache`

The workshop culminates with an Art Show and Reception, July 30 at 4:00 p.m. in the Uptown Studio Theater. The classes are from 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., students need to bring a sack lunch each day for a short lunch break on site.

You can register and pay the reduced fee of $100 the first class, 9:45 am - Monday, July 26 at the Uptown Theater, fee includes all art supplies for the week.
