Police to file murder case
Detective John Brimmer spokesman for the Grand Prairie police said a murder case will be filed today with Dallas County District Attorney’s Office charging Edward Gutierrez, 21, with the shooting death of Samer Hamdan, 19, on June 24.
Gutierrez surrendered on June 26 to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and was released after his attorney posted a $50,000 bond.
If found guilty of murder, Gutierrez could receive confinement in prison for life or a term from 5 to 99 years in prison and an optional fine not to exceed $10,000
