Library offers free Zumba classes

Grand Prairie libraries are offering the how-to on physical fitness but not just through good books. Grand Prairie’s Warmack Branch Library, 760 Bardin Road, will host “A to Zumba: A Beginner’s Class” from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, and Thursday, July 23, free of charge.

Zumba is a calorie burning workout that fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow dance steps to create a dynamic fitness program.

The program is open to anyone age 6 and older. Space is limited, so participants must preregister with the Warmack Branch Library at 972-237-5772. The classes will be taught by Grand Prairie YMCA Zumba instructor Tammie Hensley.
