AirHogs lose in Shreveport
Starting pitcher Thad Markray struck out eight in seven innings and the Shreveport-Bossier offense scored in five of the first six innings to carry the Captains to a 6-3 win over the Grand Prairie AirHogs in front of a sold out crowd at Shreveport’s Fair Grounds Field Tuesday night. Markray allowed two earned runs on six hits and picked up his first win of the season.
Kieran Mattison lasted just 4 1/3 innings for the Airhogs as he surrendered five earned runs and suffered his second loss of the season.
Captains 1B Andres Rodriguez belted his second homer of the year, scored twice, and finished 2-for-3.
CF Aaron Garza hit a homerun as part of a 2-for-4 night for the AirHogs.
