Shooting leaves two wounded

Grand Prairie police are looking for 4 suspects involved in a shooting that occurred Wednesday night around 10:30 p.m. at the Windridge Apartments, 23001 Avenue H.

Two victims were transported by Fire Department ambulance to Methodist Hospital.  One suffered a gunshot wound in the chest while the other was wounded in the abdomen.  Investigators said the injuries were not life threatening.

A witness at the scene tried to follow the suspects as they fled in a small car but stopped when he was confronted by the gun brandishing suspects.

Detective John Brimmer, Grand Prairie police spokesman, said the victims initially told police they were shot during an attempted theft of a truck belonging to one of victims. This story later changed and investigators are unsure exactly what happened.

The victims are now not cooperating with investigators, Brimmer said.
