Search for drowning victim continues
Search and recovery efforts are still underway at Joe Pool Lake in an effort to locate a Memorial Day drowning victim.
Grand Prairie police and fire personnel have searched for the victim, Darlanius Smith, 27, of Grand Prairie, since Monday when witnesses reported that Smith went under the water while swimming in the lake without a life jacket.
Search One cadaver K-9's are now being used to narrow the search area.
Police say the recover efforts will continue until Smith's body is found.
