MedVance Institute, a leading healthcare career training provider, has arrived in Grand Prairie.  The school, which has nine campuses in Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas, recently opened its tenth, and newest, campus at 401 East Palace Parkway.

MedVance Institute has begun enrolling students for the first cycle of classes at the campus, which begin June 2.  The first courses offered will encompass studies for candidates wishing to become medical assistants, medical billing and coding specialists and sterile processing technicians.  The campus plans to expand its course offerings to include medical office administration, radiologic technology, and others within the next year.

“Among all the career choices available to individuals today, healthcare has emerged as the closest of them all to being recession-proof and offers great career opportunities, with great income potential; and the demand for healthcare is indisputable,” said MedVance CEO John Hopkins.  “We’re pleased to bring a new venue for medical career opportunities to Grand Prairie residents in particular, and to all those living in the Greater Dallas metropolitan area.”

According to Hopkins, Nancy Tedros has been named director of the MedVance Institute Grand Prairie campus.  Tedros is a knowledgeable instructor and administrator who has several years of experience in medical career training.

Through its various campuses, MedVance Institute offers a wide range of medical career options, including medical assistant, medical billing and coding specialist, massage therapy, medical office administration, pharmacy technician, practical nursing, radiologic technology, surgical technology, sterile processing technician and medical laboratory technology.  Upon graduation, MedVance graduates are prepared to enter the workforce and are eligible to sit for national and state exams for licensing, if required.

Under the MedVance programs of study, some new classes begin every four weeks, allowing students to start when it is most convenient and not have to wait as long as a full year to begin.  Financial assistance is available to qualified students.
