The North Central Texas Farmers Market will kick off the 2008 selling season with a grand opening event on Saturday, May 24 at its new location in Grand Prairie at City Hall Plaza, one block north of Main and NW 4th streets.

Stop by between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 24 to browse a selection of fresh produce as well as specialty goods including jalapeno cookies, pottery, house plants, jewelry, candles and more.

Fresh fruits and vegetables will be for sale on Thursdays and Saturdays starting May 22 at City Hall Liberty Bell, from 8 a.m. until sell out, which is usually around 1 p.m. Last year, Farmers Market was a block away in the Army/Navy store parking lot.

Market vendors accept Tarrant County WIC vouchers.
