Elderly man missing since Wednesday night

Submitted photo The Grand Prairie police activated the A Child is Missing (ACIM) network which allows inclusion of missing elderly and handicapped individuals,  in an effort to locate 81 year-old Kil Duk Hong, missing since 8:30 p.m. Wednesday from the 300 block of Crossland Blvd.  

The ACIM network will generate thousands of automated calls with a message about Mr. Hong to phones in the surrounding area of the search.

Detectetive John Brimmer, Grand Prairie police spokesman, said search and rescue operations were conducted for several hours without success.  These searches included the use of specially trained search dogs, he said.

Mr. Hong is described as:

  • 5’07”
  • 140 pounds
  • gray hair
  • brown eyes
  • last seen wearing a gray shirt and green pants

Mr. Hong is diabetic and suffers from high blood pressure.
