Armed robber strikes bank

A lone gunman robbed the Chase Bank at 2322 North SH 360 Thursday afternoon of an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber entered the bank around 3:30 p.m. displaying a handgun and demanded money from the tellers, saying only “This is a robbery.”  The suspect left the bank on foot and no vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male
  • 25-20 years old
  • 5’7” – 6’2”
  • 140 - 180 pounds
  • Black mask and gloves
  • Carrying a plastic grocery bag

Detective John Brimmer, Grand Prairie police spokesman, said the suspect may be involved in other area robberies.  He said the FBI is investigating the robbery.
