AirHogs announce tryouts

The Grand Prairie AirHogs Minor League Baseball team will be having try-outs for several important positions on Saturday, May 10th. The team will be looking to fill its PA Announcer, Mascot, and National Anthem Singer slots all in one afternoon.

“We are looking forward to getting all sorts of talented individuals coming out on Saturday,” said General Manager Dave Burke. “It will be fun if this turns into a make shift American Idol.”

The try-outs will take place throughout the afternoon on Saturday. At 2 P.M. the AirHogs will audition potential Mascots. Later in the afternoon at 4 P.M. the team will be searching for its PA voice. Finally, at 6 P.M. the team will look to fill much if it’s National Anthem Singer spots for the entire season. All individuals are welcomed to participate in the audition at the team’s brand new stadium, QuikTrip Park at Grand Prairie.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs’ inaugural American Association baseball season starts on May 8, 2008. The home opener will take place on Friday, May 16, against the Wichita Wingnuts at their brand-new stadium located at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.
